Here we go!!





 I know some of you may know I used to totally make fun of blogs.... But Parker and I have so much going on and I want to document it all. Also Parker and I both love to write so I figured this could be a place to just let it all out. This blog may not be flawless or interesting some days. However it will be updated haha and seriously honest and open!
 That being said I will give you a quick summary of what we have been doing and I guess we will go from there?
 Parker is working as a diesel mechanic at Thermo King in Salt Lake. He absolutely loves it and he has so much passion for his work. In July it will mark his 2yrs at Thermo King and since then he has had three raises.
 I am a nanny for the most amazing Australian family. I fell in love with Gemma and Henry instantly and the parents are incredible. Ann is the mom of Gem and Henry and she actually stays home due to back surgery while I watch the kids and clean. I thought it would be sooo awkward but wow it has been the biggest blessing in my life to know her.
 Together we have been learning about each other each day and falling more in love. We celebrated our 1 yr wedding anniversary and spent time downtown and talked, laughed and realized we are such grandmas and grandpas because we were in bed at 11:00 pm haha 
 We also have become really into exercise and eating healthy. I know it's kind of a no brainer but I got out of a routine shortly after I started dating Parker. And Parker..... I don't know if he ever got in a healthy routine haha but he is now and it's fun to do it together.
 This weekend we went to my Cinderella pageant in Richfield and I competed! I won't lie pageants can be fast paced and stressful but I love it and I love my Cinderella sisters. Parker basically got thrown into the chaos but he was amazing and supportive. I forgot how much I love doing pageants. I don't know if it's because I get to feel young again and have my mom take care of me. My Mom decorates my hotel bed gives me little good luck gifts and tells me over and over again how proud she is of me. Maybe I love pageants because I get to sit in a chair and have the fabulous Shantel and Tawny do my hair and makeup for every event and I don't ever have to worry about a bad hair day with them. But one reason I know for sure is I get to spend time with my incredible Mom and my awesome friends and let my young self out. I love it and I feel blessed I have been apart of the magic for 17 years now! Wow!

Our four year wedding anniversary is coming up and because of that our marriage has been on my mind. As I have gone back to work full time I often wonder what I miss with Jagger during those 6-10 hour days. The days used to be our special time to learn, go on adventures and just spend time with one another. Now we try to cram those special moments at night and on the weekends. It's so difficult to be away from him but I am full of gratitude that our bond has stayed intact and that he is so well taken care of by my mom and Jeff.  I feel like I need to document the small things about Jagger because eventually those will be the big things as I look back on them. I love this quote and it pretty much sums up how I feel about my babe... “Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognize how good things really are.” Jagger is such a social butterfly and has no fear of being himself and showing himself to the world. Passenger Seat

Autopilot.... My life feels like it is continuing to move and I am in the passenger seat praying that I don't get hit and hoping I can just coast. It's that checked out feeling and being aware of it but not knowing if you really want to be in the driver seat because you may end up just crashing. It's difficult knowing which one is better right now and maybe it's about recognizing that whether you're the passenger or the driver if you get in an accident you get hurt regardless.      It's interesting how tricky our brain can be about giving us a false sense of hope and to be quite honest, I am surprised my brain still seeks out hope. I heard once that "hope is a discipline" and I'm not sure I have that discipline right now. It's confusing and there's a lot of uncertainty right now in this unpredictable world, fear based motives and personal turmoil as humans.
