Christmas Day 2012 <3

Well last year I never blogged about Christmas and I really want to remember this year....
This Christmas was so special! My family and I used to sleep in the same room when we were younger on Christmas Eve. As we got older it soon became separate rooms and then it became separate houses. But this year we all slept over at my mom's house in Spanish Fork except we missed Tyson. We played "my favorite things" and made gingerbread houses. We also watched YouTube videos before we fell asleep! Haha
That morning we opened amazing presents from my Mom and her husband Jeff.
Afterwards we sang Happy Birthday to Parker and he opened some birthday presents. I absolutely love my Mom she has the biggest heart in the world and does such a great job at making Parker feel special on his birthday.
Later we headed over to Parker's Mom's house. This was so great for Parker and I because we haven't spent a Christmas with her together. Marjean has been living in New Orleans for the past six years.We had an amazing lunch over there and opened such cute and thoughtful gifts from her and Rick. I an still dreaming about her clam dip. Haha It was so nice to spend time with them.
Right after Parker's Mom we went to my Dad and Tammie's house. They made yummy crepes! Parker and I shared one because we were so full but we couldn't pass up crepes. We opened great presents and spent sometime with my Dad and Tammie. I can't tell you how special it is to me to spend Christmas with them!
We ended the night by watching Les Miserables. It was a pretty good movie just super long. :)
It was such an incredible Christmas filled with loved ones and happy moments. We literally have the best family in the world. I don't know what I did to deserve this but I am not going to ask any questions. The best part of the day?. Having Parker by my side all day. P.S we took like no pictures, bummer!!!!

Our four year wedding anniversary is coming up and because of that our marriage has been on my mind. As I have gone back to work full time I often wonder what I miss with Jagger during those 6-10 hour days. The days used to be our special time to learn, go on adventures and just spend time with one another. Now we try to cram those special moments at night and on the weekends. It's so difficult to be away from him but I am full of gratitude that our bond has stayed intact and that he is so well taken care of by my mom and Jeff.  I feel like I need to document the small things about Jagger because eventually those will be the big things as I look back on them. I love this quote and it pretty much sums up how I feel about my babe... “Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognize how good things really are.” Jagger is such a social butterfly and has no fear of being himself and showing himself to the world. Passenger Seat

Autopilot.... My life feels like it is continuing to move and I am in the passenger seat praying that I don't get hit and hoping I can just coast. It's that checked out feeling and being aware of it but not knowing if you really want to be in the driver seat because you may end up just crashing. It's difficult knowing which one is better right now and maybe it's about recognizing that whether you're the passenger or the driver if you get in an accident you get hurt regardless.      It's interesting how tricky our brain can be about giving us a false sense of hope and to be quite honest, I am surprised my brain still seeks out hope. I heard once that "hope is a discipline" and I'm not sure I have that discipline right now.
