3rd Wedding Anniversary <3

Well, lately life has been so fast pace! This summer flew by and I forgot to blog about our wedding anniversary!
Parker and I had our 3 year wedding anniversary! I can't believe how fast it has gone. I still remember our wedding day perfectly. I will never forget being late to the temple..... [totally my Mom's fault] haha Walking down the hall with my wedding dress on, and seeing Parker's face for the first time as my husband!
I will never forget the feeling of being on cloud nine for the entire day. It truly was the best day of my life! I feel so blessed to have married such an incredible person. He is everything I didn't know that I needed. He is absolutely perfect for me!
The last two anniversaries I planned and they were really fun! However Parker took the gold this year! He planned a little get a way for just the two of us! I had no idea where we were going but I was excited! I went to go get my hair done and then we headed out.
We were driving and probably an hour and half later I realized where he was taking me, Lava Hot Springs! I was so excited! I love love that place! It is so quaint and pretty. Parker booked a bed and breakfast suite for us. We have never been to one so at first it was awkward to realize we were in someone's home, but it was a fun adventure. We had to ring the doorbell and at 10 the noise needed to be down. It was silly. Parker and I felt like we were kids again.
We went to the hot springs, got some amazing dinner and just chilled. It was so fun to have a get away for the weekend. I have a crazy obsession for Parker so anytime I get to be by his side the entire weekend it is heaven to me! We also bought lotto tickets and won $10 haha we were hoping for the million dollar ticket but no such luck!
It was a fabulous anniversary and I was so impressed by Parker and his planning. He got me a beautiful diamond necklace and roses. I am spoiled :)
We took pictures of the bed and breakfast but they got erased from Parker's phone :( so no pictures of course. We need to get better at bringing a camera. But basically it was the perfect anniversary! <3 I feel so blessed I married the perfect choice for me.
I have learned so much in these three short years about OUR marriage. I always say our marriage because I don't know how other marriages work.
I have learned....

1. Parker and I rather hang out with close friends and family rather than go to a party or a huge event.
2. Life is so so so busy and you have to make time for each other.
3. NEVER compare your relationship or life for that matter. Everyone has their own journey.
4. Do not talk negative about your spouse.
5. Enjoy the small moments in life.
6. When things get overwhelming confide in your spouse.
7. Compromise :)
8. Always always be your spouse's #1 fan.
9. Talk talk and talk!
10. Do cute things for each other!

We are not perfect at this list but we do try everyday to show each other we care. I know Parker is always there to support me and he knows I am too. I feel like I picked my soul mate. I feel blessed I can say that, because marriage is hard and love is hard but when you have the right person it makes everything worth it! Happy lucky 3!

Our four year wedding anniversary is coming up and because of that our marriage has been on my mind. As I have gone back to work full time I often wonder what I miss with Jagger during those 6-10 hour days. The days used to be our special time to learn, go on adventures and just spend time with one another. Now we try to cram those special moments at night and on the weekends. It's so difficult to be away from him but I am full of gratitude that our bond has stayed intact and that he is so well taken care of by my mom and Jeff.  I feel like I need to document the small things about Jagger because eventually those will be the big things as I look back on them. I love this quote and it pretty much sums up how I feel about my babe... “Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognize how good things really are.” Jagger is such a social butterfly and has no fear of being himself and showing himself to the world. Passenger Seat

Autopilot.... My life feels like it is continuing to move and I am in the passenger seat praying that I don't get hit and hoping I can just coast. It's that checked out feeling and being aware of it but not knowing if you really want to be in the driver seat because you may end up just crashing. It's difficult knowing which one is better right now and maybe it's about recognizing that whether you're the passenger or the driver if you get in an accident you get hurt regardless.      It's interesting how tricky our brain can be about giving us a false sense of hope and to be quite honest, I am surprised my brain still seeks out hope. I heard once that "hope is a discipline" and I'm not sure I have that discipline right now.
