Dream List!
My Mom is truly the best mom a girl could hope for. I am so incredibly thankful for our relationship. Since I have the best mom in this entire world she has made most of my dreams come true. Some call it their bucket list but to me they are definitely dreams.
When I was five years old I told my mom, "I'm going to Paris" my mom said, " You can do anything Meggie" and with that a dream was born! When I was seventeen years old my mom helped me make this dream come true.
Next up swimming with a dolphin! Last April my mom took me on the most amazing trip to Dominican Republic! My mom always knew I wanted to swim with the dolphins so of course she makes it happen! It was one of the best experiences and I was so thankful to have her right there with me. She really is the funniest and best traveling buddy you could ask for.
The next dream was to really get the Girls R Fanz 2 going! We had the opportunity to go to a convention in January and it was such a fun and good experience! Because of the convention we picked up two online buyers!
It was time for me to return the favor to her and make one of her dreams come true. We started running last year. I don't even remember how it started but once or twice a week we would go running after work. It was our time to vent, laugh, talk and just have time with one another.
It was fun to beat our times and try to go longer and faster.
My mom has always wanted to do a race and I decided to do one with her. In February we randomly just signed up for the tulip festival in April. We didn't really tell anyone and started to really train for a 5k.
On April 26th we met at the race and we were filled with adrenaline. It was pouring rain but we kept thinking it was better to run in rain than in the hot sun. So the gun went off and we started running. Everything was going great towards the end of the first mile my mom wanted to slow down and I was nervous we were going to be last but I told her it didn't matter, we came to finish the race! My mom than fully picked up and then I started slowing down. I felt so bad I was slowing her down but she said, "We came to finish the race." By the middle of the second mile all of the sudden we both just started going. Our stamina was back and we were ready to finish that race. My mom's feet were starting to hurt on the 3rd mile and I felt so bad but she would not slow down. I was so proud of her! The finish line was in sight and I said, "Let's finish this strong!" We booked it and finished strong. When we crossed the finish line I got teary eyed with my mom's hand in mine. It was the best feeling in the world and I am so proud of us!!
Today happens to be mom and her husband Jeff's birthday! I just can't tell my mom enough how truly blessed I am to have her as my mom! She truly is my very best friend, hero and my guardian angel. We still have dreams to cross off and one of them has to be New York and we better go together! Jeff I am sooo thankful you are apart of our family!!! You are such a caring and loving person. My mom definitely found her Prince Charming. Thank you for being so amazing to her and us. Happy Birthday mom and Jeff! I love you guys!!!
